Remodelling of traditional semi
An 1890’s semidetached house had been unsympathetically modernised. Potentially stunning views over the adjacent Ouseburn Valley were largely inaccessible.
Remodelling revolved around removal of ( nearly all ! ) internal walls, creating a single open plan space focused upon a full height picture window framing the view.
The extent to which walls could be removed was dependant upon negotiation with Building Control and installation of a discrete and cost effective domestic sprinkler system.
