Alterations to historic estate
A Hotel and Golf Resort set within a Grade II* Listed Georgian Country House and Estate within the Tyne Valley, between Newcastle and Hexham.
A Master-plan strategy for the whole Estate was to be developed and encapsulated within a Supplementary Planning Document. In consultation with English Heritage and Northumberland County Council Planning Department, detailed proposals were developed for a new buildings within a historic Walled Garden, as well as alterations and a significant restaurant extension to the original Georgian House.
Stephen was design and project architect for Close House whilst working with Bill Hopper / Howe Sadler.
